Last month, we reported thatactorScott Eastwoodis playing Steve Trevor, the boyfriend ofWonder Womanin the comics, inSuicide Squad, before moving on to the stand aloneWonder Womanmovie. Today, we have new details from theMeet the Movie Presspodcast, where The Wrap reporter Jeff Sneider claims thatScott Eastwoodisn’t playing Steve Trevor in eitherSuicide SquadorWonder Woman, and Warner Bros. is currently testing actors such asLiam HemsworthandAlexander Skarsgårdfor the Steve Trevor role. Here’s what Jeff Sneider had to say below.
“Scott Eastwoodis not playing Steve Trevor… basically, [he] had a choice: he could have a role inSuicide Squad- a smaller role - or he could test for the male lead inWonder Womanalongside guys likeAlexander SkarsgårdandLiam Hemsworth. And he chose theSuicide Squadrole. So we don’t know what that role is. I’m told that he’s signed on for three pictures, but it’s not clear if Wonder Woman is actually one of them. Warner Bros. thinks he’s going to be a big star, he’s obviously the son ofClint Eastwoodwho has made them a lot of money… it seems like the role of Steve Trevor is still open, and they are not going back to those guys for testing now that they have a new director.”

The news falls in line with a report from earlier today, which revealed that Warner Bros. is now seeking actors for the Steve Trevor role inWonder Woman, but this is the first we’re hearing aboutAlexander SkarsgårdandLiam Hemsworthtesting. It isn’t known whoScott Eastwoodis playing, but he has signed on for three DC movies as well. Of course,Gal Gadotis set to star as Wonder Woman, after her character will be introduced in next year’sBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Who do you think would be a good fit for Steve Trevor inWonder Woman? Let us know below.
