Later this month theX-Menprequel trilogy will come to a close withX-Men: Apocalypse, which is set in 1983, 10 years afterX-Men: Days of Future Pastand 20 years afterX-Men: First Class. This adventure brings back several fan-favorite mutants from those previous movies, while introducing many more, including the villainous Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) and his Four Horsemen. Today we have a brief preview that sheds new light on one of the Horsemen, Angel, played by newcomerBen Hardy.

This video from the20th Century Fox YouTubepage, is only about 15 seconds long, but we get plenty of new footage jam-packed within, along with some insight fromBen Hardyhimself. The actor reveals thatAngelis very angry, as he casts a “shadow of death” across the land. We also see tiny snippets of footage featuring Angel in acage match, where he’s fighting one of the other new mutants,Kodi Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler.

Bryan Singeris directingX-Men: Apocalypsefrom a script bySimon Kinberg, based on a story the director and screenwriter crafted together withX2: X-Men: UnitedwritersDan HarrisandMichael Dougherty. There have been rumors thatBryan Singerhas signed on to direct anotherX-Menmovie, with production reportedly starting next year in Montreal, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
